Recap: St. John Lutheran Saints vs. Ocala Christian Crusaders

The St. John Lutheran Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ocala Christian. St. John Lutheran was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ocala Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

St. John Lutheran's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Furey, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Gravante, who scored 7 points.

Ocala Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amari Gordon, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Rodney Paz, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.

St. John Lutheran's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Ocala Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
