Basketball Recap: Huntsville Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Huntsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over the A&M Consolidated Tigers on Tuesday. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Tigers are ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Stolz, who posted 12 points. Connor Hill was another key player, putting up eight points.

Huntsville's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points over those games. As for A&M Consolidated, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-19-1.

Coincidentally, Huntsville and A&M Consolidated will both be playing Rudder the next time they take the court. Huntsville will host Rudder at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while A&M Consolidated will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 11th.
