Football Game Preview: West Limestone Wildcats vs. Deshler Tigers

The West Limestone Wildcats will face off against the Deshler Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: West Limestone has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Deshler will arrive with seven straight victories.

West Limestone is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Wilson on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats came up short against the Warriors, falling 44-23. The Wildcats were down 37-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Deshler faced off against Brooks on Friday. The Tigers took down the Lions 27-13.

West Limestone better keep an eye on Price Thornton. He was instrumental in Deshler's win, rushing for 142 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 271 yards and one touchdown.

West Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Deshler, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
