Baseball Recap: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Wins Going Away Against Howards Grove

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Howards Grove on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Tigers. With that victory, the Resorters brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Cole Wagner made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

In other pitching news, Brennen Goble looked comfortable as he went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. He has become a key player for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Trayden Rebedew, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Roth, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
