Baseball Recap: Howard Tech Comes Up Short

Howard Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-6 to the Sequoyah Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-3 back in March.

Eusi Hamilton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Elijah Choice also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Howard Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Sequoyah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howard Tech will venture away from home to take on Ooltewah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sequoyah, they will head out to square off against Loudon at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
