Ross took Calvert into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 15-8.
Mia Durwald put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 13 digs.
Northview's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-14. As for Ross, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.
