Baseball Recap: Friday's Win Is J.H. Rose's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

J.H. Rose's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights by a score of 5-2.

Parker Simo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Parker Watson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Justin Grimes also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

J.H. Rose has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. North Raleigh Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. J.H. Rose will square off against Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in J.H. Rose's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Jacksonville has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will host Panther Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Panther Creek will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
