Basketball Recap: Chippewa Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chippewa can now relate to. They received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 55-40 to the Poland Seminary Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Chipps can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th in Ohio, while the Bulldogs are ranked 246th in Ohio).

Chippewa has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. Poland Seminary has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Chippewa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Poland Seminary, they will take on Lutheran East at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lutheran East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Poland Seminary likes a good challenge.
