Volleyball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Garner + How To Watch

Wake Christian Academy won the last time they faced Garner and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Wake Christian Academy didn't let Garner take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-23.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had 20 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Deans, who hit 55.6% for 11 kills and 15 digs and six aces.

Wake Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Wake Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Garner, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Christian Academy will challenge Providence Day at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Garner, they will head out to square off against Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
