Preview: Keystone Wildcats vs. Firelands Falcons
The Keystone Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and plays the Firelands Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on February 16th. Keystone has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 402 points over their last six matchups.
Even though Chippewa scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, Keystone still came out on top. Keystone took their matchup against Chippewa 67-60.
It was another big night for Grant Hartley, who scored 32 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Hartley is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Liam Goran was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Firelands' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. The matchup between them and Steele wasn't particularly close, with Firelands falling 51-35. Firelands has struggled against Steele recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Keystone now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Firelands, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
Keystone came out on top in a nail-biter against Firelands in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 49-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keystone since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
