Volleyball Recap: Wiley Takes a Loss

Wiley lost against Akron back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Rams.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Wiley's offense was headlined by Lylah Reinhardt and Anistin Gonzales, who picked up two kills apiece. Reinhardt really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with three.

Among those leading the charge was Mackenzie Fincher, who had ten digs.

Wiley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Akron, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

After both having extra time off, Wiley and Miami-Yoder will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Akron, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Briggsdale on the 26th.
