Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick Comes Up Short

St. Patrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Resurrection Catholic Eagles. The Fighting Irish were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

While St. Patrick had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-27, 25-20, 25-20.

St. Patrick's defeat dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Resurrection Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

St. Patrick will square off against East Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Resurrection Catholic, they will challenge Presbyterian Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
