Football Game Preview: Sequatchie County Indians vs. Walker Valley Mustangs + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Hunter Minton and Chase Stephens are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sequatchie County Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Walker Valley Mustangs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Walker Valley will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Sequatchie County extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Indians really took it to Community for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Vikings/Viqueens are ranked 318th).

Sequatchie County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elijah McDaniel and Kason Hicks. Sequatchie County got some further help from Harrison Smith: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walker Valley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Lenoir City 63-7. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.

Sequatchie County better keep an eye on Roman Eulo. He was instrumental in Walker Valley's win, picking up 323 receiving yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, Eulo is now averaging an impressive 118.7 receiving yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Cunningham, who rushed for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

Sequatchie County's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Walker Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
