Basketball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Crusaders vs. Notre Dame Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were outmatched by Notre Dame at home and fell 66-37. Saxony Lutheran has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Saxony Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Annie Adams. Despite the final result, she scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Saxony Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Notre Dame, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7.
Saxony Lutheran will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Mules at 7:30 p.m. Poplar Bluff is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
