Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Presbyterian vs. Smiths Station

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Trinity Presbyterian take on Smiths Station at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Presbyterian will be strutting in after a win while Smiths Station will be coming in after a defeat.

Trinity Presbyterian will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Monday, then bounced right back against Prattville Christian Academy on Friday. Trinity Presbyterian put the hurt on Prattville Christian Academy with a sharp 10-0 victory. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Smiths Station was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Providence Christian.

Trinity Presbyterian's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Smiths Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Everything went Trinity Presbyterian's way against Smiths Station when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Trinity Presbyterian made off with a 7-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Presbyterian since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
