Basketball Game Preview: Pine Ridge Panthers vs. University Titans

Pine Ridge hasn't had much luck against University recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Pine Ridge Panthers will challenge the University Titans at 6:00 p.m.

Pine Ridge is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They lost 56-32 to Jones. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-9.

Despite their defeat, Pine Ridge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaliyah Feliciano, who posted 17 points and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Feliciano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Serenity Cressor, who had four points in addition to 11 boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, University posted their closest win since January 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Seabreeze out 47-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

University pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Pine Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for Pine Ridge against University when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 62-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pine Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
