Baseball Game Preview: Sutter Huskies vs. Dixon Rams

For the second straight game, Sutter will face off against Dixon. The Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sutter has four straight victories, Dixon has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Sutter's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Dixon with a sharp 10-0 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Jonny Munger made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Karter Johnson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Blake Holly was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Sutter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dixon only posted an OBP of .227.

Sutter's record is now 17-3. As for Dixon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1.

Dixon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sutter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Dixon, though, as they've only averaged .333.
