Softball Recap: Montville Wins Going Away Against Windham

Montville never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Windham Whippets as they made off with an 18-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Whippets: they've now won nine in a row.

Natalie Lutyen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Lutyen was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Montville got a massive performance out of Abby Daniewicz, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alanna Noonan, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.

Montville's record is now 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montville will challenge Woodstock Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windham, they will take on Parish Hill at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
