She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Perry County Central got a massive performance out of Taylan Hoskins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Mikayla Shepherd was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Paintsville took on Floyd Central on Tuesday. Paintsville came up short against Floyd Central, falling 10-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Perry County Central pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Paintsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Perry County Central took their win against Paintsville when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perry County Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
