Soccer Recap: Sam Houston Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Life Waxahachie, Sam Houston was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Seguin Cougars a 3-0 shutout. The score was close at the half, but the Texans pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Sam Houston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matchups. As for Seguin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sam Houston will welcome South Grand Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Seguin, they will be playing at home against Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
