Troy is 6-1 against Nezperce since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

Troy came up short against Prairie on Tuesday, falling 21-2.

Troy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javan Barton, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Barton has hit this season. Dominic Holden was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Nezperce lost 18-2 to Prairie on Thursday.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Nezperce, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Troy's way against Nezperce in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Troy made off with a 17-0 win. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Nighthawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
