Basketball Game Preview: Pelham Hornets vs. Randolph-Clay Red Devils

Having just played yesterday, the Pelham Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Randolph-Clay Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

If Pelham beats Randolph-Clay with 61 points on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Pelham managed a 61-56 victory over Seminole County on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Randolph-Clay came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 58-48.

Randolph-Clay has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Pelham, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Pelham ended up a good deal behind Randolph-Clay when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 52-34. Can Pelham avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
