Baseball Game Preview: Millville Thunderbolts vs. Egg Harbor Township Eagles

The Millville Thunderbolts will square off against the Egg Harbor Township Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Millville will be strutting in after a victory while Egg Harbor Township will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, it was close, but Millville sidestepped Pennsville Memorial for a 6-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbolts.

Cole Mulharan was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kevin Dick, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Millville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pennsville Memorial struck out ten times.

Egg Harbor Township couldn't beat Holy Spirit on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Eagles came up short against the Spartans, falling 17-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Spartans since May 12, 2016.

Jacob Cagna was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Casey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Egg Harbor Township dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Millville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
