Softball Recap: Elizabeth Takes a Loss

After flying high against Brearley on Tuesday, Elizabeth came back down to earth. The Minutemen came up short against the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders on Thursday, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on April 4th.

Elizabeth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Elizabeth has already played their next contest, an 18-5 loss against Governor Livingston on the 25th. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Johnson on the 25th.
