Volleyball Recap: Innovation Montessori Takes a Loss

Innovation Montessori was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Legacy Charter Eagles. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

Innovation Montessori took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-9, 13-25, 25-11, 17-15.

Sofia De Pinho paced Innovation Montessori's offense, picking up ten kills. De Pinho really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Samantha De Pinho controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Innovation Montessori's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Legacy Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Innovation Montessori will square off against Crooms Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legacy Charter, they will head out to take on Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
