Baseball Game Preview: St. Albans Bulldogs vs. Landon Bears

The St. Albans Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Landon Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games St. Albans has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

St. Albans is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since May 16, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Georgetown Prep by a score of 3-1. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Little Hoyas recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

St. Albans saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Dobbie, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Landon fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Jackson-Reed on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bo White was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Zach Burstein made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Jaxon Garon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Albans' record now sits at 9-8. As for Landon, their record is now 9-6.
