Baseball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. SkyView Academy Hawks

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will head out to challenge the SkyView Academy Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arrupe Jesuit is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Arrupe Jesuit lost 12-1 to Englewood on Monday.

Carlos Salais made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, SkyView Academy made easy work of Byers last Monday and carried off a 13-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Tucker Corazzari made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Corazzari was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Logen Meyers was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Gage Baumann, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

SkyView Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

SkyView Academy's record now sits at 2-0. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Arrupe Jesuit might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from SkyView Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
