Maricopa was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Vista Grande Spartans by a score of 4-1. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Spartans on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-4 defeat.

Travis Varela was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Jovanny Sanchez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Maricopa's record now sits at 8-14. As for Vista Grande, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12-1.
