Recap: Onalaska Wildcats vs. Woden Eagles
The Onalaska Wildcats won the last time they faced the Woden Eagles, and things went their way on Saturday too. Onalaska took down Woden 71-54. Given Onalaska's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while Woden is ranked 758th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Onalaska can attribute much of their success to Dante Leleux, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Jackson, who scored 7 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Onalaska now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Woden, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Onalaska will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Groveton at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Woden, they will take on Mt. Enterprise at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
