Basketball Recap: JAMEYA BROWN Key Part of a Team Effort in Colts Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Marion had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Lake Weir Hurricanes 48-22. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 553rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Marion's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JAMEYA BROWN, who went 9 for 15 on her way to 20 points and five assists. That's the most assists BROWN has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of JERMEA JACKSON, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

The victory got North Marion back to even at 13-13. As for Lake Weir, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

North Marion has already played their next match (against Eastside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake Weir does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
