Baseball Recap: JW North Comes Up Short

JW North was the 6-0 winner over Ramona when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell 6-3 to the Rams on Saturday.

Ian Moreno Zavala made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

JW North's loss dropped their record down to 4-14-1. As for Ramona, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. JW North will face off against Orange Vista at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ramona, they will square off against Jurupa Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
