Basketball Recap: Deahri Hayes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Austin College and Career Academy over Steinmetz College Prep

Austin College and Career Academy was the 40-36 winner over Steinmetz College Prep when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Austin College and Career Academy Tigers took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks on Friday.

Austin College and Career Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being DeAhri Hayes, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Teasiah Smith, who scored ten points.

Austin College and Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Austin College and Career Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-41 loss against Manley on the 3rd. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-32 defeat against Uplift on the 3rd.
