Softball Recap: Narbonne Comes Up Short

Narbonne suffered their biggest defeat since May 16, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the San Pedro Pirates, falling 20-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Gauchos' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Narbonne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elyse Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Narbonne's loss dropped their record down to 10-1. As for San Pedro, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Narbonne and San Pedro should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Narbonne will square off against Wilson at 3:00 p.m. on Friday up 523 places (184 vs. 707). Meanwhile, San Pedro (ranked 113th) will meet North (ranked 443rd) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
