Soccer Game Preview: Petoskey vs. Gaylord

The Petoskey Northmen will challenge the Gaylord Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Petoskey is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Alpena get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. Considering Petoskey have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Gaylord hasn't lost a match since May 10th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Marquette. The victory continues a trend for Gaylord in their matchups with Marquette: they've now won three in a row.

Petoskey pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three contests. As for Gaylord, they now have a winning record of 9-8-2.
