Volleyball Recap: Hope Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Portsmouth

Hope faced Portsmouth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Blue Wave fell 3-1 to the Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Wave in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Portsmouth, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Hope will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Portsmouth, they will head out to challenge South Kingstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
