Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DSST: Green Valley Ranch). They blew past the DMLK Panthers 70-33 on Friday. Given the Raptors' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Panthers are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch was led to victory by Skyyaire Russell and Tobe Ozoma. Russell went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points and four steals, while Ozoma made all 5 shots he took for 10 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Ozoma has posted since back in January of 2024. Tong Bot was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight steals and five boards.

The win (which was DSST: Green Valley Ranch's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for DMLK, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch will challenge DSST: Conservatory Green at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. DSST: Conservatory Green knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully DSST: Green Valley Ranch likes a good challenge. DMLK has already played their next game (against Montbello), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
