Recap: Springstead Eagles vs. Central Bears

The Springstead Eagles entered their tilt with the Central Bears with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Springstead breezed by Central at home to the tune of 55-4. Springstead has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springstead to victory, but perhaps none more so than J'ziyah Munford, who scored 16 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Munford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Suarez, who scored ten points along with seven assists and six steals.

Springstead pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springstead won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Weeki Wachee at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Weeki Wachee is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Hernando at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hernando presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central in Florida (Hernando is ranked 298th, while Central is ranked 613th).
