Volleyball Recap: Shawnee Mission West Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Shawnee Mission West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Olathe East Hawks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 10, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Shawnee Mission West was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Olathe East work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-11, 14-25, 26-24, 25-20.

Shawnee Mission West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18-2. As for Olathe East, their win ended a 12-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-19.

Looking ahead, Shawnee Mission West will venture away from home to challenge Lawrence at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olathe East, they will welcome Junction City/St. Xavier on Saturday.
