Volleyball Recap: Petal's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Petal had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pearl Pirates by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on September 2nd.

Petal had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-9, 25-13.

Petal's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Pearl, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-21.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petal will venture away from home to face off against Picayune at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pearl, they will head out to take on Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
