Softball Game Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Weston Ranch Cougars

The McNair Eagles will take on the Weston Ranch Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. McNair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, McNair turned things around against Franklin on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 8-2 victory. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 12-6).

Emerald Gerardo was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Victoria Ochoa was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Weston Ranch lost 15-5 to Stagg on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled against the Delta Kings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Cianna Avamolifua made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Weston Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for McNair, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
