Brad McDivitt commands the offense for Panthers win

Recap: River Valley Panthers vs. West Shamokin Wolves

After losing to the West Shamokin Wolves the last time they met, the River Valley Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. River Valley walked away with a 51-38 victory over West Shamokin on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for River Valley.

River Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brad McDivitt, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden Whitfield, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds.

River Valley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for West Shamokin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

River Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Leechburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. The timing isn't great for Leechburg: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home, while River Valley has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. West Shamokin will take on Homer-Center at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
