Basketball Recap: Pinellas Park Takes a Loss

Pinellas Park lost against St. Petersburg back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pinellas Park Patriots were beaten by the St. Petersburg Green Devils 81-41. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Green Devils are ranked 148th).

Pinellas Park lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Christian Campbell, who posted 12 points.

Pinellas Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for St. Petersburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Pinellas Park has already played their next contest, an 80-61 loss against Dunedin on the 17th. As for St. Petersburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-67 defeat against Gibbs on the 17th.
