Baseball Recap: South Putnam Comes Up Short

South Putnam lost against West Vigo back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles lost 11-1 to the Vikings. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Putnam saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Tincher, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

South Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for West Vigo, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Putnam will venture away from home to take on Parke Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for West Vigo, they will take on Terre Haute South Vigo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
