Baseball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster lost to Quartz Hill back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Royals, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 28, 2025.

Austin Wood was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Austin Deleuw, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Lancaster and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Quartz Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

While Lancaster had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
