St. James is a perfect 5-0 against Thibodaux since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats take on Thibodaux Tigers at 5:00 p.m. St. James has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. James lost 15-4 to E.D. White on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Shiya Steib made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jai Bright was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thibodaux made easy work of Central Catholic on Wednesday and carried off a 13-2 victory. Considering the Tigers have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Thibodaux is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for St. James, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Everything went St. James' way against Thibodaux when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as St. James made off with a 12-4 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
