Basketball Game Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Window Rock Fighting Scouts

The Tuba City Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Window Rock Fighting Scouts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Tuba City was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Page. The Warriors have struggled against the Sand Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Justice Nez, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Eriana Begay was another key player, going 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points.

Meanwhile, Window Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 64-57 to Monument Valley.

Window Rock's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Tuba City, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Tuba City took their victory against Window Rock in their previous matchup on Thursday by a conclusive 65-39. Will Tuba City repeat their success, or does Window Rock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
