Basketball Recap: Prospect Piles Up the Points Against Elk Grove

A well-balanced attack led Prospect over Elk Grove in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Prospect Knights blew the Elk Grove Grenadiers out of the water with a 50-18 final score. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Prospect's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sadie Splinter, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Neve Pomis, who posted five points and eight steals.

Prospect's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Elk Grove, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Prospect will venture away from home to face off against Glenbard West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prospect is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.6 points per game this season. As for Elk Grove, they will host Buffalo Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
