Football Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Paul's Episcopal entered their game against McGill-Toolen on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Saints came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 41-17. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Hayden Fincher threw for 63 yards and a pair of TDs. On the ground, Anthony Tank Jones rushed for 57 yards.

McGill-Toolen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ladarien Miller led the charge by rushing for 125 yards and three scores. That's the most rushing yards Miller has posted since back in October of 2024. Blane Barre was another key player, rushing for 85 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

St. Paul's Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for McGill-Toolen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Meanwhile, McGill-Toolen will face off against rival Spanish Fort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Miller and Justin 'JuJu' Bonner.
