Baseball Game Preview: Springdale Bulldogs vs. Rogers Mountaineers

Springdale hasn't had much luck against Rogers recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will host the Mountaineers at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Springdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Siloam Springs 18-7 on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Rogers entered their tilt with Bentonville West on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolverines an 8-0 shutout. Give the Mountaineers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Rogers' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Springdale, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.

Springdale suffered a grim 17-3 defeat to Rogers in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
