Basketball Game Preview: Willow Spring Storm vs. Athens Drive Jaguars + How To Watch

The Willow Spring Storm will head out on the road to take on the Athens Drive Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Willow Spring has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Willow Spring is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down South Garner 84-69 on Saturday.

Xavion Terrell had another great game (as he tends to do), going 13-for-19 on his way to 31 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Robinson, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 20 points and eight boards.

Willow Spring was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Garner only posted four.

Athens Drive had taken Green Hope down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The matchup between the Jaguars and the Falcons didn't end well, with the Jaguars falling 61-42. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Willow Spring's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Athens Drive, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Willow Spring strolled past Athens Drive in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 72-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
